I thought this blog was about weaving?! Yes, there has been a little bit of weaving going on… but, well, I’ve been learning to quilt this year; another delightful textile art. There was already a fabric stash in the house: old fabrics, and lots and lots of rags and jeans for weaving ragrugs. But, quilting requires its own special fabric stash. (yikes!)
What have I been quilting? Some of my creative energy has been going into making small art quilts for the AAQI, the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative. The AAQI sells/auctions these tiny quilts to raise money for Alzheimer’s awareness and research.
